AFCEA Tampa/St. Pete Chapter, SD3IT proudly sponsored this month’s AFCEA luncheon with guest speaker, Tony Dungy, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Super Bowl-winning coach of the Indianapolis Colts, NFL Hall of Fame member, an analyst for NBC’s Football Night In America and a The New York Times bestselling author. Coach Dungy’s words of encouragement were full of anecdotes from his recent release, “The Soul of a Team” about the rewards and challenges he experienced on his path to success. Along with his calm, but straight forward, attitude toward the balance between professional and personal, Coach Dungy provided an inspirational insight into a winning mentality supported by compassion for prioritizing people ahead of fame. Concluding the luncheon, Coach Dungy signed copies of his book and provided time for attendee networking.

The AFCEA Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational incentives, opportunities and assistance for people engaged in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines focused on information technology, cybersecurity, telecommunications and electronics supporting the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.
