SD3IT is committed to making its website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech input and keyboard-only navigation.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website has been remediated against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which is also the technical standard referenced for Section 508 purposes.
Following a full audit and remediation program completed in October 2026, this website substantially conforms with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Substantially conformant means that most of the site meets the standard, with the limited exceptions noted below.
What has been done
- Meaningful text alternatives for informative images, including partner and certification logos.
- A single, descriptive page heading on every page and a logical heading structure throughout.
- A visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element.
- A working “Skip to content” link on every page.
- Navigation menus that open and operate with the keyboard as well as the mouse.
- Collapsed mobile menus removed from the keyboard order so they cannot be reached while hidden.
- Descriptive names for icon links, social links and embedded maps.
- Form fields with programmatic labels, input purpose, required states and announced status messages.
- Text and interface colors measured against the WCAG contrast thresholds and corrected where needed.
- Manual testing with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at 200 percent zoom, at a 320 pixel viewport width and with user text-spacing overrides applied.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions.
- Embedded map. The interactive map is provided by a third party. The office address is also available as ordinary text on the Contact page so that the same information can be reached without using the map.
- Spam protection. The contact form uses a third-party anti-spam service. If you are unable to complete it, please contact us using the details on the Contact page.
- Documents. Documents published on this site are being reviewed and updated for accessibility. If you need a document in a different format, please ask and we will provide one.
- Third-party content. We do not control content hosted by third parties and cannot guarantee its accessibility.
